Khan al-Khayyatin
Sixty metres of vaulted street with tailors down both sides, six hundred years running.
Not a khan with a courtyard but a covered street: one long barrel vault with round light holes dropping discs of sun onto the floor. The tailors are still here, machines running under 14th-century stone.
