Rachid Karami International Fair
UNESCO World Heritage, inscribed as in danger.
Oscar Niemeyer in Tripoli — a World Heritage site, and one in danger.
Oscar Niemeyer designed it in 1962: a curving concrete canopy some 750 metres long with the national pavilions parked beneath it. The civil war stopped construction in 1975 and it was never finished. UNESCO inscribed it in 2023 as World Heritage in Danger. There is nothing else like it in Lebanon.
