Hammam al-Jadid
The largest bath in the city, and it has been called “the new one” since 1740.
Built by As‘ad Pasha al-Azm while governor of Tripoli. The central hall is broad under a high dome, and the name has not been updated in three centuries — which tells you something about the age of everything around it.
